Gorgie
Website Design, UX/UI
Gorgie, is a new better-for-you energy drink, created and built by community. Created by Michelle Cordeiro Grant, the former Founder & CEO of Lively, to cater to the needs of those who are looking for a healthier alternative to traditional energy drinks, with the aim of filling the void of female voices in the booming energy drink space. I worked with the Gorgie team to create and develop their new website for launch, focusing on the younger woman and social conscious consumer.
As bubbly and poppy as this homepage is, this was the intent of the client, to attract that Gen-Z woman and excite her about the Gorgie brand. The playfulness of the webstie allows the site to intentionaly not feel “sales-y” and invites the consumer to engage with the site to learn more about the brand and it’s products.
The Homepage immediate draws in the consumer with bubbly callout text and aspirational photography. The homepage also had to be very informative on the products benefits and easy to shop. The last element was the social element, where we needed to illustrate how the product was crowd sourced by the consumer.
The PDP is highly informational about the product and it’s benefits, but also to be playful at the same time. Bubbly elements and smaller callouts helped achieve this without feeling too “sales-y.” On the other hand, information strategically had to be dispersed across the page to not only include all the important information including the quantity, price, and any selectors, but also had to be placed above the fold.
Brand elements were carried through the entire website for a cohesive playful identity and user experience. Since the target audience skewed much younger, mobile design drove the entire project, but desktop design was never sacrificed.
